Strap Guide – Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Reference 3970
Welcome to the Bulang and Sons Strap Guide. Our aim is to showcase some of our most popular straps on a range of iconic watches so you can see how the different combinations work.
The Patek Philippe 3970
First launched in 1986, the Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronograph reference 3970 was the successor the legendary 2499. Reduced in size by 1.5mm to 36mm, compared to the 2499, the 3970 was available in yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and platinum. The manual wind calibre CH27-20Q was based on the Lemania 2310 and the watch was made in four series before production ceased in 2004. Its a classy chrono that exemplifies true Swiss high-end watchmaking in a classic and timeless aesthetic. And quite simply, we love it!
We have selected a range of 19mm straps that give this complicated chrono different looks and highlight its versatility.
