Cartier watches have had a meteoric rise in recent years, as it becomes the choice of tastemakers and true connoisseurs of classic collectible watches. We recently wrote about the Cartier Tank Basculante ref. 2390 (20 mm) here and today we are highlighting some 18mm straps for the smaller version. Introduced in 1933, the quiet member of the Tank family. The Basculante is a watch that can double as a desk clock when the inner case is rotated to protect the glass – it’s Cartier’s Reverso in many ways, but in a more elegant hinged system that is as beautifully executed as it is ingenious.
