The Tudor Big Block

It would be too easy to say that the recent surge in interest in Tudor Big Blocks is simply down to the spike in prices of plexi Daytonas and the Zenith-powered first auto Daytonas from Rolex. In reality, however, the Big Block has been a long under appreciated watch and it is becoming highly sought after by vintage collectors, due to the huge number of different dial and bezel combinations that exist. The first automatic chronograph out of Wilsdorf stable, it has a real presence on the wrist due to the large case size, screw-dwon pushers and plexi crystal.

For today’s Strap Guide we have chosen a vintage 79180 and 79170 with cool silver dial with black sub-dials. Whether you want to wear it on a punched-hole leather Racing strap, inspired by the drilled pedals or racing cars or you prefer the elegant edge stitch and soft leather of the Taupe Grey strap – we have a buckle strap for you.
